Retrospection IP-Awareness & Value Creation - Presentation at the OST in Buchs

Our CEO, Michael Eichenberger, spoke at OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences about the use of artificial intelligence in managing intellectual property. The focus was on how companies can capitalise on opportunities whilst effectively managing risks.

On the 16th of April, the event „IP-Awareness & Value Creation“ took place at the campus of OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences.

As part of the programme, our CEO Michael Eichenberger gave a presentation on the topic: “Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Intellectual Property – A Tool and a Risk Factor”

The focus was on how companies can use AI responsibly without compromising sensitive information or intellectual property. Practical examples were used to demonstrate that the greatest challenge lies not in the technology itself, but in how it is used.

A key takeaway from the talk: “The greatest danger lies not in AI itself, but in the assumption that using it is safe without understanding the intellectual values it affects.”

This statement highlights the importance of intellectual property awareness when using AI, particularly when dealing with sensitive data such as source code, internal processes or creative content. Companies are called upon to define clear guidelines and foster an awareness of intellectual property protection throughout the entire value chain.

The event provided a valuable platform for exchange, new perspectives and inspiring discussions on the responsible use of AI.

We were delighted to be part of this event and to contribute to the discussion on the responsible use of AI in the context of intellectual property through our presentation.
